| Feature: Heads-up: New games out this week (March 22)

A look ahead to this week's new releases which include Gears of War: Judgment, Monster Hunter 3, and The Walking Dead.
Worth a look
It's a week of good but not great games, with all platforms getting at least one new title of note. The biggest of the bunch is Epic's Gears of War: Judgment, which the hardcore following are likely to enjoy but we found it to be a bit of a stopgap. Dead or Alive 5 Plus is a Vita port of the existing PS3/Xbox 360 game, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate arrives on Wii U and 3DS to a small army of European fans, Most Wanted finally hits the Wii U but with some new features, and Activision's The Walking Dead looks like it needed a few more months in the oven.

EuroGamer: "In an ongoing series of articles, Digital Foundry takes an in-depth look at the most high-profile PlayStation Vita releases, talking with the developers and gaining new perspective on what it's like creating games for Sony's brilliant - but underperforming - handheld. In this second instalment, our focus is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, one of the most fascinating games available for the platform. Criterion Games' objective here was ambitious: to incorporate PlayStation Vita into the cross-platform development workflow of what turned out to be one of the most technologically advanced current-gen games on the market. As you might expect from the Guildford studio, the result isn't just a great game but a remarkable technological achievement."

| What Are You Playing? March 15th, 2013

Need For Speed: Most Wanted U and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, two games that just couldn't help but capitalize on that whole U thing are in rotation this weekend for reviews going out early next week. I sure wish I could have been set up with some multiplayer partners for Monster Hunter, what with that being a huge focus of the game, but maybe I can find a few Japanese friends to play with.

| Need For Speed: Most Wanted U Launch Trailer Promotes Single-Player Co-op
Added: 16.03.2013 2:29 | 1 views | 0 comments
It may sound like an oxymoron statement to say single-player co-op but that's exactly what it is. Heck, I don't even need to explain what the trailer showcases because that's exactly what it is. Whether or not Criterion's decision to include a single-player mode with cooperative features will pay off remains to be seen, but the trailer for the Wii U is pretty slick to say the least.
